I am a UK based author. Both of my books are historical fiction and are set in Europe during World War II.

My writing takes place between 6AM and 9AM when I switch to my day job running a digital design and web development company.

I am also a musician and have played music in many parts of the world. I am currently the bass trombone player with the Birmingham Philharmonic Orchestra and the Sinfonia of Birmingham.

Married to Sarah who is a flautist and music teacher, we live in Cumbria in the north of England.

My first book IN THAT MOMENT WE TRIUMPHED links the shocking and little known stories of the orchestras in Berlin and Leningrad during WWII.

The second book, THE OWL IN THE WINDOW, tells the story of a group of artists in Amsterdam who defied the Nazis.
